When looking at glamorous interiors on Pinterest, everyone dreams of living in a beautiful home, surrounded by gorgeous homeware.  However, if you are on a very tight budget, sadly you start convincing yourself that looking at the glamorous photos is the closest you can get to your dream home.  The good news is, you can actually find gorgeous yet affordable homeware and décor from high street shops.     Today I want to share with you my top 5 home interior products from high street furniture shops.

I’m sure some of you are familiar with the name – Poul Henningsen.  He was a famous Danish architect and designer, creator of the gorgeous Artichoke lamp.  Poul Henningsen Artichoke Lamp (in copper finish) is currently selling for over 5700 pounds.  However, Ikea has made a pendant lamp with a very similar design for only a fraction of the price.

Everyone has seen Eero Saarinen’s Tulip Dining Chair, but did you know that the designer’s main inspiration was to clear up the slum of legs under table and to produce an elegant and clean silhouette.  He has definitely achieved his goal by creating this gorgeous table with a marble top and a white base.  This icon of mid-century design is still to this day produced and can be bought for over several thousand pounds.  If you are looking for more a affordable alternative, perhaps the Docksta table from Ikea can be a good solution.

Most people like the feeling of softness and warmth underfoot when climbing out of bed.  The sheepskin can inject warmth and luxury into a space.  I find off-white wool sheepskin from Ikea a must have piece for a calm and neutral bedroom scheme.  When designing a bedroom, I always concentrate on fabrics and materials that are not only beautiful but pleasant to touch.
